DjigbaChats is a customer-messaging and AI sales-assistant service operated by Perspective GAIA Sarl ("we", "us"). Businesses ("Merchants") use DjigbaChats to receive and answer messages that their customers send them on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. This policy explains what data we handle, why, who we share it with, and how to have it deleted.
It covers the website at djigbachats.com and the dashboard at app.djigbachats.com. Questions: [email protected].
1. Who is responsible for the data
- Merchant account data (your name, email, password, billing details): we decide how this is used, so we are the controller.
- Conversation data (messages between a Merchant and their customers): the Merchant is the controller. We process it only on the Merchant's behalf and on their instructions, to deliver the service. If you messaged a business that uses DjigbaChats, that business is your first point of contact. You may also write to us, and we will pass your request on or act on it.
2. Data we collect
From Merchants
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored hashed), business name, time zone and language.
- Catalog content you upload: product and service names, prices, descriptions and images.
- Subscription and billing records: plan, payment status and transaction identifiers. Card and bank details are handled by our payment processor, and we never see or store them.
- Usage data: log-in times, AI credit usage, and technical logs (IP address, browser type) for security.
From Meta platforms (WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram)
When a Merchant connects a Facebook Page, Instagram professional account or WhatsApp Business number, Meta gives us access only to the permissions the Merchant approves. We use that access to receive and send messages. We receive:
- Page, Instagram account and WhatsApp Business Account identifiers and names, plus the access tokens needed to operate them.
- Messages sent to the Merchant by their customers (text, images, audio, files) and the replies sent back.
- The customer's public profile details that the platform makes available for messaging: name, profile picture and platform-scoped ID. On WhatsApp we also receive the customer's phone number.
- Delivery and read status of messages.
3. How we use data
- To show Merchants their customer conversations in one inbox and let their team reply.
- To generate AI replies. When a customer asks about a product, the relevant message, recent conversation history and the Merchant's catalog are sent to our AI provider to draft an answer. That answer is sent back to the customer on the same channel, and the Merchant can take over at any time.
- To meter AI credits, bill subscriptions and prevent abuse.
- To send service emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing notices).
- To keep the service secure, debug problems and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not use data from Meta platforms to build profiles for anyone other than the Merchant it belongs to, and we do not use it to train AI models. We use data received through Meta platforms only as allowed by the Meta Platform Terms.
4. Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help us run DjigbaChats, and only as much as each one needs:
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Platforms (WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram) | Delivering messages | Outgoing replies and message metadata |
| DeepSeek | Generating AI replies | Customer message text and display name, recent conversation context, Merchant catalog text |
| Cloudflare | Network security, and file storage (R2) | Website traffic, message attachments, catalog images |
| Brevo | Sending service emails | Merchant name and email address |
| PayPal | Processing subscription payments | Billing details entered on PayPal |
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public. If the business changes hands, this policy will continue to apply to data already collected.
5. Where data is stored
Our application servers and database are hosted on dedicated infrastructure that we operate. Attachments are stored in Cloudflare R2. Some providers above may process data outside your country. When they do, we rely on their contractual data-protection commitments.
6. How long we keep data
- Conversation and contact data: while the Merchant's account is active, or until the Merchant deletes it.
- Merchant account data: while the account is active. After closure or a deletion request, it is deleted within 30 days.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Technical logs: a short period for security and debugging, then deleted.
7. Deleting your data
See our Data Deletion Instructions. In short:
- Merchants can disconnect a Facebook Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp number at any time. To do this, delete the inbox under Settings → Inboxes. Deleting the inbox also deletes its conversations. To close the whole account, email us.
- People who messaged a business can ask that business, or email us, to delete their conversation and contact record.
- You can also remove DjigbaChats' access from your Facebook account under Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, and then ask us to delete the data.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data. You may also object to or restrict its processing. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed. Platform access tokens are stored on our servers and shown only to the Merchant's own account administrators. Staff access to production data is limited to what is needed to run and support the service.
10. Children
DjigbaChats is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data for our own purposes.
11. Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use existing data, we will email account owners before it takes effect.
